Yes! It helps me keep my sketch lines/mistakes apart from my final lines. Plus, if I desire to colour my lines, when I scan in photoshop I can drop the red sketch easily by using the red channel.
I imagine it would be just as easy using a non-photo blue pencil, but the red leads are convenient to buy for a .5mm mechanical.

i see ^^ well i will try it thankyou! as i tend to draw in ballpen *bad habit* alot of pieces tend to get muffed up which can be really depressing >< so i really need to get into the pencil habit *^^*

The entire sketch is awesome!
I mean the hair is just as good as the face, which is just as good as the body which is just as good as the hands.
I think that leaving it as a sketch is better because the red interacts in a cool way with the black
