Some years ago, a friend of mine who's as much a fanatic for big hair as I am posted a series of photographs on the web that she took in the Dallas, Texas, area in the late 1960's depicting local women and their often remarkably large and elaborate hairstyles. One pic showed a middle-aged woman sporting a large, dark brunette pompadour that was swept up high and smooth back to the crown where it suddenly exploded into a huge mass of very long and fat sausage curl ringlets that cascaded well down her back. It was a style that Marie Antoinette or Princess Sisi of Austria would've readily admired or worn. I always thought it would make a very romantic style for a young bride, and this is my concept here
