I would like you to all Meet my newest Creation~ a Gijinka, (or, personification) of my Netbook~ the one computer ive been using to create and post all of my art since I started on DA~ which, I owned, for YEARS before THAT, even~
And a little while ago, the Keyboard COMPLETELY stopped working, resulting in me, afraid I would finally have to replace the entire thing...making me feel like, I CERTAINLY needed to make this Gijinka in order to honor the netbook anyways~
Though in the end the keyboard came back, so i got to keep her for a lil while longer yet~!

This lil bugger here has been stubborn as hell, and has been fighting for over 6 years to stay up and running~ despite being completely low grade, even to the standards of the year it was bought~
Of course, normally, Id never make a Gijinka for something like this, but its been so tough, and has developed so many nicks and quirks that its hard to not imagine it with a personality of its own~ so here it is~~

Name: Net-Chan (The name isnt original, but Ive always just called her 'the netbook' so its suiting to have such an unoriginal name~)

Model: Acer - Aspire One

Operating System: Windows XP

Age: 6+ Years (Thats like, retirement age in human years~)

Traits:
-Incredibly Stubborn and Loyal: - She wont quit even after being YEARS outdated~

-Gets Tired easily: - If I open too much stuff she gets really slow, poor girl~

-Loves long Naps: - I never turn her off while im out and doing stuff >> I need to start doing that.

-Desensitized towards a great many things: - After all, shes seen EVERYTHING ive done on the internet~

-Self Conscious about her augmentations: - After having so many things break or go wrong with her, she needs a few additions to help her get by~

-Agoraphobic: - Ive never unplugged her and taken her outside before, or even really anywhere in the house before~ shes always in my room~

-Terrified of losing power: - Ive never left her unplugged for longer than a few minutes, and NEVER has she lost her charge fully....just gotten close~

-Easy to Please: - She always seems A-OK after a nice simple reset~ shes really not fussy at all~

-In Perfect Health: - Aside from physical quirks, ive never gotten a virus on it~

-HATES CATS: - My cat jumped up on the table once and knocked the Netbook to the floor...I think thats what broke the webcam, and it certainly busted the headphone jack....as a result...she really doesn't like cats >>;

Quirks/Augmentations:

-Scar on her left cheek: - Result of me spinning a pair of scissors around, letting them go by accident and putting a big scratch on the monitor.....Sorry, Net-chan~!

-Webcam Eye: - Ever Since she went blind...or rather, when the webcam the netbook came with went out, ive used a external one instead~ though its a lil bit bulky looking on a tiny netbook, hehe~

-No inside voice: - When the headphone jack busted, it broke in a unique way... when I plug in my headphones, they WORK, but they STILL play the audio out of the speakers, UNLESS I turn them in the jack back and forth, until it 'tunes' them properly, and ONLY plays out of the headphones...
As a result, sometimes Net-chan here ends up broadcasting what im listening to, without me knowing it~

-Plug-in Leash: - a sort of Security blanket for her...she hates not having her power source close, and thus, drags behind her plugin everywhere she goes...a habit I gave her, by NEVER unplugging the Netbook~ heheheh~

-Mouse-Gauntlet: - Sometimes the small little touchpad is known to stop working, and even WITH it, I never use it...instead, I always have a USB Mouse, plugged into the side...she may not ALWAYS need it, but I Always USE it...so shes gotten used to having it there~

-USB Ports: - Hidden on the sides of her thighs, normally would go unused, but she has to wear open sided pants and keep the plugs ready for use, for her Augmentations.

-Missing Keys: - The Keyboards on her thigh guards (Which hide the USB ports her augmentations need to operate) have a few fucked up keys here and there~ the most infamous being the 9 key, which works fine normally, But to make a left Bracket, you have to hold it down for a while first~

-Doesn't Believe in Fate or Destiny: (AWFUL PUN WARNING) one of they Keys fell off the keyboard and is very loosely hanging on when I put it back.....yup....its the F8 Key...~
(Coincidentally, the F8 Key is ALSO my keyboard's Mute Shortcut...meaning this girl not only has no inside voice, but she also doesn't know when to shut up~)

-Bad Memory: - Sometimes on startup, I blue-screen, and the Netbook runs this little operation to regain and get rid of any lost or uneeded files that didnt save properly during the last session... it doesnt happen all the time, but its a side effect of bein and old computer, I guess~

-Reliant: - Sometimes, the touchpad works, and sometimes, even the Webcam works too....her Augmentations arent permanent, and they CAN be unplugged and removed at will... but MOST of the time, she needs them. as as a result, instead of taking the chance, she relies on them, instead of trying to make her original parts work...Again, a bad habit I gave her~

But yeah~~ I had to go and Loli-fy my Netbook, and make her fuckin adorable~ cuz shes been stuck with me for years~ and is almost ready to break down soon, I imagine...but when that happens, theres no way in hell im getting rid of her~ Ill store her in her case and keep her close, cuz dammit, she earned it~!!! This tough-as-balls little cutie aint gettin no scrap yard~!
