I used to do that (add deviation description thingy), idk y laziness struck me in that area
For the digital ver, I simply trace the previous sketch for the lineart (additionally repaired some mistake or added something). Then I color and do the usual digital stuff all using paint tool SAI, thus took a lot of time (12 h ++ for this).
If I spent more time for a detailed background, those sure will take 5 more hours with my current skill n knowledge xP

So you trace the lineart above your scanned pen sketch, right? I did a similar exercise with my sketches but I don't redraw all the lines above the sketch layer, that's why I'm a bit curious about your technique
And I know that feeling with the background, it's often troublesome and long especially when you're not used to it. Anyway, you really made cool progress (I think I saw your art for the first time 3 years ago) I like both your sketches on paper and your digital rendering and I'm sure you'll get even better in time
