Personality :

Darlene usually doesn't start conversation first in a group of people but that doesn't mean she doesn't want to. She's just not really good in social situation. She's usually nice toward everyone, but somehow she has this vibe of arrogant coming from her which makes people around her always think she's the arrogant-trying-to-be-cool type but actually she is not.

She can be sarcastic sometimes especially to those she finds annoying or dislikes. In front of people she doesn't know, she doesn't really say much unless she feels like she wanted to or really have to or the topic is interesting for her to barge in. But once you get to know her, she is actually a bit more outgoing and has a good sense of humour.

Darlene likes observing people, their behavior, the way they talk and their gestures. She finds all of those are interesting and she has good memory in remembering people names. She's the type who prefer standing against the wall observing people rather than being the lime light in a party. Oh well, she doesn't even like going to party or any function involving a lot of people.

If someone annoys her enough or are rude to her, she can get quite nasty. Darlene also absolutely hates when people look down on her. She only allow Hun to call her 'Darling' as she already thought him as her own lil brother.

Background :

Unlike most of the officers, Darlene is one of the few who doesn't has a criminal background. Her record is clean.

Darlene was raised in a wealthy family of business. She is the daughter of Vaughn and Serene Duncan, has 2 older
brothers and a younger brother. Born as a female, her father had decided that she will become a doctor when she
grow up. This is due to Duncan family's rule which forbid the female family members to involve with the company
business.

Early school days of kids should be a pleasant times filled with playing games and making new friends but not
Darlene. She was homeschooled from an early age and described her childhood memories were very lonely and
not interesting to be shared with.

Forced by her father, her adolescence was occupied with studying for medical exams. While most of her peers
slog through 9th grade, Darlene started studying in medical school. On a college campus, she was a natural target
for wisecracks.

Things got worse when her colleagues began bullying her, especially when she was a reserved girl, she was unable
to fight them back. She thought the bullying will stop after a few months, when they got tired of her, but it kept on going.
Tired of being the victim, she was determined to join the taekwondo club when he saw a taekwondo performance at her college.
She wanted to try it out for herself and learn martial art to defend herself. She began her martial arts training at
the age of 15. At the age of 20, Darlene achieved the rank of 1st Dan Black Belt.

The truth is, intelligence is not Darlene's gift. She was simply exposed to so many more opportunities than the
average child through her father. Pushed by her father to excel, she completed his bachelor’s degree in Medicine
at the age of 22.
