You know, we had to do ICT a few years back and they were exactly the same as yours, and they were crap too - we pretty much taught ourselves the whole course - how I scraped an A i'll never know >>
Arabic - wow, that sounds difficult - do you have to speak it as well, or just write it? Well done with the A's though! I took core Science last year and got A*'s (how?), so now i've got additional and further this year, along with eng lit/lang, maths, geography, graphics, french and art. That's really harsh that you didn't get to choose what you took though, I thought it was just a standard thing that everyone made their choices about what to take in year 9. You get to choose your own A levels though, right?

I learnt to read Arabic as a child for religious purposes (I'm muslim), so reading and pronouncing weren't so bad. It wasn't too hard, I think I could've got a top gradae if I had started memorising more vocab from before instead of trying to cram in the last couple of months. I'd have liked to take it for A-level but they don't do it anywhere.
My core Science modules got messed up (teachers, again) so I only managed an A.
We didn't get to choose our GCSE's because my school has limited options, but I'm moving for A-Level's- English Lit, Bio, Chem and the fourth is either Physics or Psychology- I don't think I could stand any more Maths xD
