NAME: Ryuu ( short for Ryunosuke )

NICKNAME: Ryuu.... Ryuu.... RYUU....

SCHOOL: Yuushou High

NUMBER: 8

HEIGHT: 160 cm

WEIGHT: 57 KG

NATIONALITY: Japanese, (he's half american though )

POSITION: Shooting guard. ( though he prefers to attack center. he's really good at fade aways and he can shoot mostly from any angle. but he cant muster up the strength and focus to shoot 3 pointers )

REASON:
Ryuu has always been pressured by the fact that his family is full of basketball all stars. So the second he stepped into highschool. he knew what shit to pursue. too bad he didnt inherit his fathers height, and overall strength. What he DID inherit though is the ability to Perceive his opponents movements and the ability to shoot the ball in dire situations... so basically, he's in it to win it.

PERSONALITY:
Ryuu gets along with mostly anyone. except for people who bore him easily. He's been called inconsiderate a couple of times and probably a little blunt, but even though he puts on a serious face most of the time, he really loves helping others and he values team work above all else. He makes a great player in the court, because not only does he manage to keep on a poker face like appearance even though the odds are against his team, he also manages to keep his cool through the most toughest of games.

BACKGROUND:
Ryuu was born in america to an american father and a japanese mother, however when his mom decided that she wanted to return to japan, She took Ryuu with her. During this time his father was at his prime as one of the all star players of basketball back in america, so he couldn't come with Ryuu and his mom. Ryuu would always watch his fathers games on TV and ooggle at his prowess. "when i grow up, i want to play basketball just like papa does!!"
he would always say, while he clutches the basketball his father gave him as a "goodbye" present. "ill become as strong as papa, no matter what!"

As he grew up he always prioritized playing basketball. He would stay after class and play in the court all by himself. Ryuu had a lot of friends at the time. "WOW!! your daddy is that all star isnt he?! THAT MUST BE SO COOL TO HAVE A DADDY LIKE HIM!" kids would flock to him just to ask him what his father was like. He was proud to have such an awesome dad.

One day a news report about the injury of an all star player in america aired on TV. "...the leg fracture seems to be too severe. He can no longer play basketball...."
"mama, is that-- papa theyre talking about?"
"yes dear... he was severely injured in one of his games... he had a horrible fall---"
"is it true he wont be able to play anymore?"
"...."

"then ill play for him mama, ill play for both me and papa. ill make everyone proud again."
