No, Danny Fenton and Max Goof are portrayed as the losers of the campus, I guess if we set the time back to high school years.
Bradley and Dash Baxter are known as the popular jocks on campus, picking on the losers for the hell of it.
The punchline is that both sides harbor "hidden feelings" for each other.
(I might come up with a couple of random comics just to push the joke a little further xDD)
But seriously, look at the parallels between each of the characters; kinda sad yet exploitable 8]

No it's all good-- I myself was deprived of Danny Phantom due to the fact that we didn't have cable for the longest time. I started watching it online but I'm barely halfway through, but I've already seen the finale!
