For the Contest-----
Let me be frank: THIS WAS NOT SIMPLE.
(But I just did it today, and finished it today, for said contest)The biggest giveaway are those (mainly) one stroke lines--
Anyone familiar with my work expects the raw sketchiness that is my general "style".
This is what I ended up doing:
1. Sketched in black to get the pose
2. Added a new layer under the sketch with flat airbrushed (?) color.
3. Deleted the sketch
4. Created new color hold outlines on a new layer
5. Cleaned up the excess airbrushed color as much as possible
6. Came in with a flat solid color behind the color hold, more cleanup
7. To give the illusion of simplicity, only took the same color as the hold and put opacity to 25% for light airbrushing as the shading/highlighting
8. Got lazy with the background as usual
Usually since raw outlines might have made her "intimidating" and I wanted this to be like "a dream", well... here you go xP

That overlt used anime cliche of all innocents dressing up in that same outfit in the same pose!
But really, this is pretty light-hearted and nice. ^^
