The choice of color to make it monochrome here was a pretty good one! The atmosphere this creates supports the feeling of the urban city and the person being there separated from each other. Great!

Since you submitted for feedback, here are some suggestions for you:
You could try to adjust the shadows and the light a little bit afterwards. If you could manage to make the dark shadows a little brighter you could bring out more detail from the bridge or the people for example. Because of the kind of grey in here in looks a little bit foggy, so maybe even a lighter dark or even darker shadows would support the picture nicely.

The idea of taking the picture along the sidewalk and the fence do support your motive and seem very harmonic. Keep it up like that!
