When It's about commission , I generally have a serious preference when one ask me about a character I like; mainly because I'm sure at 90% I will succeed it doing the pic.Sometimes it's also really fine to draw character I NEVER drew; It's a bit harder because you got to find your interpretation of it; but It's fine cuz' you do something else
AND
you got the "chain combo" commissions, meaning doing the same character over and over.
In that case you'd better wish it's a character you're gonna like !
I had 5 Kitty pryde to draw in 3 months (even a 6th as a request, but never heard back from then )
it's the 4th Pixie I draw in... well 3 month again
Fortunatly , I LOVE PIXIE !!!! (but I'm getting seriously bored with Kitty actually, sorry)

Oh...
I think Pixie became my "booty shot" model don't ya think ?

- Watercolors and markers on watercolor paper.
-I do use a soft touch of real make up on the eyelid in general, but it's something that can't be seen after a scan or photo. Mostly why I never mention the use of this stuff
-Soft touch or eyeliner too.

This is so amazing! May I ask how you use the watercolors and markers together (do you lay down markers first then go over with watercolor, or do you use each medium for different parts of the drawing)???

organic = watercolor
clothes= watercolor/markers
shiny stuf like leather =markers
Well it's also a question of paper.
shiny stuff on watercolor paper are a bit harder to render correcly; for example 
Basically, it's better to come back with markers after watercolors, because water on marker = not too good, expect for an eventual SOFT teint.

She looks 16 to me -- its in the face. Only thought I have, and I always seem to have when it comes to battle-clad fairy, pixies, and angels, is: "how do they put that outfit on around their wings? There ought to be something in the design of the clothing to accommodate the wings. They are a fact of their anatomy, after all - legs, arms, necks affect the clothing, but the wings never seem to penetrate the cloth and attach to the back in any way.
That having been said, I really like the rendering of the wings - and I totally dig her smile!
