Description
Since I watched "The Amityville Horror" ([link] ), and perhaps before, I've been kinda fond, or fascinated by haunted mansions, big houses full of mysteries.There was also this Atari ST game, made by french people : "Le Manoir de Mortevielle" that was (at the time it was made : in the end of the eighties) full of atmosphere and mystery. It was also revolutionnary since it was an adventure game with people that spoke to you, with speech synthesis. Okay, it was very un-naturalistic sounding, but it was there and comprehensible !!
Anyway, here's my tribute !

Ohio may be a bit far for me, but I'll try to remember that.
This one was taken in France, but doesn't look that creepy without any manipulations

moi aussi, mais le problème avec les manoirs, c'est le notes de chauffage
Oui, ça m'a pris un sacré temps de traiter toutes ces feuilles, mais la tablette graphique est une aide précieuse pour ça (zoom à donf, on tamponne et on prend son temps, et voilà)

Bravo pour cette atmosphère très glauque, je suis juste surpris de l'aspect des arbres à droite. C'est quoi en fait ?

C'est juste un problème de reflets de soleil sur les feuillages qui sont un peu brillants. Ca s'est accentué lorsque j'ai réduit la taille de l'image. Rien de bien grave, mais je vais rééditer l'image pour pallier au problème. Je pense que je vais simplement ajouter un peu de "filtre" sombre par dessus, par petites touches.

well it looks good. the only thing that makes it look photomanipulated is the lighting on the house and the reflections on the leaves.

Thanx ! The reflection on the leaves (that and some other anwanted light pixels) is what I was talking about... There are small details like that that should be remade on some of my deviations, but I'm a bit lazy for that ! But, never say never, I will try to do that, one deviation after the other.
As for the lighting on the house, I did my best to lower the light on some parts (the windows are really white in the original photo), but I must bring my techniques to another level to make it more convincing.
It's hard... but the house was shot on a sunny afternoon
