Another of my characters - Spellbinder.

Magic in my universe, while practicable by anyone with sufficient knowledge and skill, has been dead for millenia. The rules of magic, rituals and spells were once kept in spellbooks - items of great power that made anything written in them into magical law - but these were seemingly all destroyed at the hands of witch-hunters in ages past. Magic became a thing of fiction... until that is, the last surviving spellbook, crafted but entirely blank, is discovered by a teenage girl.

Now the spellbook's keeper, she becomes the Spellbinder and uses the books power to begin crafting spells of her own design and developing her magical abilities. Eventually, she decides to use her skills to help others and joins the team of young heroes called Next-Gen.

While she is the world's only sorceress for now...the genie is most certainly out of the bottle...

She conceals her identity with a shadow-mask of her own design: essentially a shadow cast over her face in the shape of a mask. She also wears enchanted vambraces that can be used to block unfriendly spells.
