Got asked about this guy the other day and haven't been able to get it out of my head. Can honestly say I hadn't thought about it in years; the original was done an hour before I left my parents house for my college matriculation, and it kind of faded to the back of my mind. After I won the contest I regretted not putting more effort into it because after seeing Matt's (amazing) rendition, I was left feeling incredibly dissatisfied with the original. It was so crude that a lot of the details didn't even make sense to anyone except for me, as I found out. It doesn't mean much five years later, but I can now say that yes, I am happy with how it turned out.

I really don't draw much these days. I'm still using my tablet, but it's nearly 100% for cleaning and redrawing webtoons for a translation group I help out. It's a completely different skill set and I've been having a blast figuring it out. Unfortunately it doesn't translate terribly well to actual drawing, but maybe some day I'll have the time to do both.

In any event, looking at both versions of this side by side confirms that I have, in fact, improved over the last five years. It's not much, but it's encouraging. I can't say that for much in my life.

Anywho, wish you all the best. Sorry for not being around much the past few years, but I'm still lurking in the shadows looking at everything that gets posted. This community has come such a long way since the early days, and I've been loving every minute of it!
