After I wrote this, I saw the later color renditions, and they were kind of like I expected: with the Hellkids' luck, it was grungy liquid of some kind, with a wonderfully slimy tentacle just made to disgust anyone it was wrapped around. It rocked!

And I'm sorry you didn't make it, it looked kewl.
