YAY!Each Royal Fire Nation family must worry that their firstborn won't be a firebender, don't you think?
Anyway, this is just Zuko (wearing the very latest in 'Fire Lord Casual') and Mai and their unnamed, generic little son, who has just discovered; "WHEEE!!!...I can shoot fire out of my fingertips!"

You know, I've actually wondered about that myself. I've imagined that, at least during certain periods of their history, if the heir to the Fire Nation throne was not a bender, they'd probably be considered illegitimate. What do you think?

Probably. You'd have to keep the fire going in your throne room for one thing. XD Maybe they just tried for another heir until they had one who could firebend. That would be a huge source of sibling rivalry...but I don't think ANY Fire Nation royal family was very calm.

Idk, I just like the idea. And I'm afraid that with family resemblance and all, if Zuko hd a daughter, she would look somewhat like Azula, and that's just....no. 
Oh yeah, you DON'T have to be firstborn. I'd forgotten, if you tick your father off enough, he'll demote you.
