I've been wanting to draw something Lion King related for a long time. It's been nearly 5 years since doing so unless if you count the Simba cameo in "A Night with my BBBFF" which I made nearly a year ago. The problem was that there are so many iconic scenes from the 1994 animated film that it was very hard to choose from but I ultimately went the scene where Mufasa and his son Simba gaze at the night sky. With it's outstanding animation, catchy songs, and a story that's gigantic in terms of scale, The Lion King rightfully stands as a cinematic classic as well as one of my artistic influences.
