Description
This painting was a commission from RedVamp [link] for her new house.Her home is a mix of old world and victorian with gothic and Haunted Mansion elements thrown in, and she wanted a romantic mural to go on the ceiling of the foyer. Something reminisent of the 'old masters'. Eehhh -heh... well,I tried. Frankly, I'm surprised at how much faith she has in me, but I appreciate it. She really liked the painting and thats all that matters. ^_^
This took me a while to paint. Not my usual style as you can see from my gallery, but I really enjoyed the new experience.
This was also the largest image I've ever worked on on my computer since it was going to be printed out for a mural. Once it was completed, RedVamp sent it off to print. It was huge. Something like 8' x 8' and it came in two peices.
Unfortunately it didn't go on ceiling as nicely as we had hoped, so she and I had do some tweaking along the seam.
I'll get a photo of the finished version next time I'm at her house.

If I didn't know better, I'd ask you if that is a genuine Renassaunce(?) painting.
