Meganium has always been the "worst" starter out of every generation in the eyes of the fandom. That's just because people aren't using it right. It's a support/healing Pokemon; You can't just plow through the game using Meganium alone. That's right: You actually have to train a Pokemon other than your starter! By the endgame my Meganium was owning almost every casual team I went against. Aromatherapy + Synthesis (Or Heal Pulse in Gen V!) = Awesome.
