Description Name: Snowdrift
Gender: Male
Breed: Glacial x
Personality: Free spirited, loyal to his owner but can be quite flighty and wary of others.
Additional features: (if any): Very light on his feet. Can fade into natural areas and become hard to see when wanted. White makings can become more prominant in winter.
Background Story:
The fog closes in, chill wind biting though my thick jacket and I found myself regretting again deciding to set out on the hike through the alpine regions today. I concentrated on the track beneath my feet, if I just stayed to the path, sooner or later I'd come to a hut where I could take shelter. Soft flakes of snow floated down from the sky. The path became harder and harder to see, night fell, I stumbled on aware that I'd left the track and could well be walking in circles.
A soft snort came from behind. Startled, I swing around to see a large horse bearly visible in the dim light. I reach out and he gently sniffs my hand then turns and walks away into the gloom.
"Wait!" I grab a handful of mane and let him lead me through the forest. After what seemed to be an eternity I realised I was outside one of the trail shelters. I give the stallion a hug and rifle around in my backpack, producing a pear. He delicately take it and then disappears leaving me staring into the fluttering snow, wondering if I just imagined the whole thing.

The next morning I emerge from the shelter, grateful that the conditions have cleared to a bright, clear morning. I shoulder the backpack and start walking. Almost ghostlike a bay horse with white markings emerges from the forest. I recognise him as the stallion I thought I'd imagined from the night before.

"Hello boy" I give him a gentle pat on the neck.
He nudges me with his nose. "I'm sorry I don't have any more pears for you." I give him one last pat "Well thank you". I continue walking down the trail. The stallion follows.
"You want to come with me? Really? Well I can't keep calling you "Horse". I think I'll call you Snowdrift after the night you found me. Look you've even got some snowy markings, it suits you"
He whickers.
"Well come on then" and we continue down the mountain together.
