So there are probably a few hundred of these fox statues throughout the Fushimi-Inari shrine grounds, not many were as big as this one. She is maybe 7 feet tall from base to the tips of her ears. And yes, most of the statues actually do make the distinction between male and female foxes. The females are generally on the left holding a key or scroll and the males are generally on the right holding a ball or jewel.
