Description
As the months pass Bauwen finds herself with a laxer bedtime. Her mother doesn't chide quite as loudly if she stays out too late, and only gives her a raised brow when the girl is caught out of the Hollow on the tail of the Nightguard. Ma usually follows or sends Foxwood in her stead, but both always leave a respectful enough distance that Bauwen still feels like she has some independence.

On one such expedition she finds Aislin resting beside the waters of the Menagerie and is invited to stay a while to hear a story from Mhor's distant past. It's about young wolves (like her!) and the girl is immediately entrenched in what lessons the pack's history has to offer. She asks a dozen questions, some easy and some hard, and takes time reflecting on the tale before Deborah appears to usher her home.
