In addition to having the same amount of letters in their title, both are worlds where people with special powers exist and maintain the balance (the superheroes and the shinigami). Both have people born with powers as part of a evolutionary strain (the Mutants and the Fullbringers) with a special institution that helps them learn how to control and use them (The X-men and X-cution) with the same beginning letter to their titles. A secret organization oversees everything from above (SHIELD and the Soul Society) headed by someone of high authority and long-time battle experience (Nick Fury and Genryusai Yamamoto). Said organization founds a group of special individuals of special powers and talents to maintain the balance (the Avengers and the Gotei) led by a long-time hero (Captain America and Jushiro Ukitake). Lead character is a young high-schooler who gains powers by accident (Spider-man and Ichigo Kurosaki). Good comparison?
