Bio: Born into an American military family, Hunter's parents were part of the early resistance effort against the Kaiju, her father being a pilot and her mother a researcher. At a very young age, Hunter and her younger twin brother, Paris, were disciplined and trained in order to later join when they were of age, her brother earning most of the praise in the process. Once they were old enough, the two enrolled into Jaeger Academy for formal training. Some years later, their father retired after being rendered paralyzed from the waist down in a crushing battle against a category 4 Kaiju.

Upon graduating from the academy, the twins formed their own team together, piloting the Wolf Gunner. Despite their impressive winning streak, the duo faced yet another devastating blow against a category 4 Kaiju. However this time, Hunter lost her brother in the process, barely scraping out of the battle herself before assistance arrived.

Though Hunter harbored a tinge of bitterness towards her brother having to be constantly overshadowed by him, Hunter fell into shock after his death, requesting a time out from piloting as she wasn't mentally prepared to go back into the game without her brother. After some time she was contacted to pilot a newly built Jaeger and though disinclined due to not thinking anyone else could live up to her brother let alone inviting anyone else into her mind, in the end she reluctantly agreed in order to avenge her late brother. She then begrudgingly found herself partnered with Thea von Maltzan to pilot the Mahlstrom Lightning.
