Description
This stenciled girl with the red balloon could be seen all around London for a while (there were a few others along similar lines). Infinitely better than the scrap grafitti you get all over the place. The council have been painting over them; I found this one on Londons south bank summer 2004.

I've since found out It's a banksy by the way!

[edit 2012] - this banksy was up for a few weeks that summer, and was obviously photographed by a large number of people, but I'm always amazed at the number of art web sites selling _this very image_, obviously with the (C) trimmed off. I mean, it's not even a good quality photo; snapped quickly on a mediocre camera and posted at a lowish resolution. They don't even straighten the curve in the wall (the wall isn't curved of course, I was just standing off centre so it's looks curved; anyone who spent a bit more time taking it would have sorted that out).
