Flaking face with empty eyes and claw-like hands around. A bit disturbing and that's why I like it Very good concept!

When I look t this I wonder why did you choose not to cover the hands in face mask too?

to emphasize that it is a mask, not a monster all over

ooo thank you for the reply!
Fantastic answer. I understand now

I've been experimenting with clay and facemask but using macro as well for a photography uni project so it was great to come across your work!

Hello,

Sorry for slow reply!

I haven't yet.
I need to sort through them then I can put them up. I used facemask but then used a macro lens to really get into the detail on the face ie eyes and certain areas of the face rather than the face as a whole.
Its only using natural light as well so it's not such a strong effect as yours unfortunately hehe but I was really pleased with how they came out.

I need to really make a flickr as well so I'll put them on my flickr and send you the link if i don't put them on here. It won't be for anther few weeks yet though I shouldn't think.

Sorry for the essay!

I apologise for never getting around to uploading my photos! but...

I've started to upload the macro work I did with face mask and allowing it to crack so you can take a look now.

I stopped using deviant art for a while but I think I will update my profile now and I don't have a flickr account so I'm going to make one then I can add you!

Jade

i like how you used the concept of masks(since we all have masks is some way or another), the way the hands are poised is also very expressive. nice work! how did you create the mask?

Amazing. It really fits my broken skin drawings. Might ask you to draw one of your photos one day.

I adore this, it reminds me very much of the art work of Adam Jones. Great concept and result.

He's a guitarist for a band called Tool, and also a special effects artist. The majority of his art is very macabre and introspective, it's great!

Here's three of his works
