One morning I was driving to work and passed a copse of trees that looked as though a storm had blown through them. Several of them were missing their top branches and with the sun in my eyes, I thought I spied a creature sitting up in a broken tree, looking out towards the horison. It could have been a large bird, or even a bunch of debris caught in the branches. But I thought I saw a dragon.

When I got home from work that day, this is what I painted.

Incidentally, when I passed the next day on my way to work, the thing in the branches was gone.
