"In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God hovering above? At least it is true that man has no control; even over his own will."--
New obsession time! And this time it isn't a movie, or actor, it's a manga! I know, I'm totally out of my element here, but holy $h!t, I love this manga.
It's called Berserk, and this fellow you see above you is known as Gatsu (or Guts) the main character of the series.
I would go on to describe him, but it's a little difficult to explain to the average viewer of my artwork, so I will just suggest that you read the manga (or watch the anime) yourself to find out.
This is on scratch board, the PERFECT medium to work with for this manga, imagine every panel looking like that. It's epic. So I had one hell of a time finding which image I wanted to start off with, and I went with this one which you can find here: [link]
It took me just under 3 hours, a really short amount of time, considering I haven't done any scratch board in FOREVER.
So, ranting and raving aside, here it is. Please comment and let me know what you think!

I didn't even know they were scratchboards to begin with, and they look like they came straight out of an original manga based off of the extraordinary details and use of light and shadow you put into them.

I have seen the anime and i hate it for ending at the best part.. but love the manga excellent work.

I have been wanting to redraw a few panels myself, in a cartoon-y style, haha. Like when Guts first busts out the Dragon Slayer, right after the Eclipse.

I loved to read the manga after I watched the series, but theres so much they left out in the cartoon!
oh and their saposed to be remaking the cartoon as well but it's still not done yet

I watched the Anime series first, then read the Mnaga, so yes I have seen it.
