Where do I begin with this?I suppose I'll start with the obvious first:
This is my interpretation of the Alex Ross Joker.
I used only 4 Acrylic colours (If you consider White to be a colour): Titanium White, Naphthol Red Medium, Cerulean Blue Deep & Dioxazine Purple. I tried my best to match the colour quality of the original in this photo, but my camera really hates taking nice photos of my artwork.
There is NO black (despite how my camera made the the image look.)
This is painted on a 12"x16" canvas
And it took me 6 hours. Give or take.
Words can simply not express how much I love this painting. It turned out so amazingly well! And this is the first in, what I hope to be, a series of Joker paintings documenting the physical changes of his character design throughout the years.

The colors are beautiful. Rich, yet still sinister. And not too overbearing. Blending his colors into the white skin was an especially nice touch. Lovely work.

Thank you very much for your comment! I love bright and vivid colours and I felt it fitting to apply that to the Joker. (It's just a shame my camera hates me because the real painting looks so much better)
