Pendant que Xocolatl prenait soin du raton malade, elle reçu un appel des esprits, lui annonçant qu’un autre beeguh avait besoin d’être secouru en toute urgence. Bloquée au bar avec un bébé fiévreux, elle décida de faire jouer la faveur que la renarde lui devait pour avoir pris l’enfant en charge. C’est ainsi que Pyk’hett se retrouva à nouveau en Afrique, pestant tout ce qu’elle pouvait, à patauger dans les mares de boue autour d’un point d’eau. Le village qu’elle trouva était abandonné, quasiment vide, si ce n’est des hommes armés qu’elle évita soigneusement et une jeune fille humaine cachée au fond d’une hutte . Voyant Pyk’hett, celle-ci se dépêcha de lui confier un petit paquet (pour elle) soigneusement emmailloté et plutôt encombrant (pour Pyk’hett). La barrière de la langue n’aidait pas, mais les gestes de la jeune fille de partir vite convainquirent Pyk’Hett d’obéir sans discuter. Ce ne fut qu’une fois de retour au portail de Xocolatl que le paquet bougea et se dénoua, dévoilant une chevelure crêpue et une petite bouille au sourire rayonnant, au grand désespoir de Pyk’Hett.
« Oh non… Pas encore !»
While Xocolatl was taking care of the sick racoon, she received a call of the Spirits, announcing another beeguh was in dire need of a rescue. Stuck in the bar with a feverish child, she decided to use the favor the fox lady owned her for taking care of the racoon child.
That’s how Pyk’het found herself back in Africa, cursing a blue streak while wading in the mud pools around a watering hole.
The village she found was nearly empty, save from a troop of heavily armed men that she avoided carefully, and a young human girl hidden in a hut. Seeing Pyk’Hett, she decided to give a small( for her) package, carefully swaddled and rather cumbersome (for Pyk’Hett). The language barrier didn’t help, but the young girl gesture to go away quickly convince Pyk’Het to obey without arguing.
It’s when she was back to Xocolatl’s portal that the package moved and got untied, revealing a head of frizzy hair and a little face with a big sunny smile, much to Pyk’hett’s despair.
“Oh no… Not again!”
