beautiful picture! from joseph campbell, i have read of axis mundi, but not yet anima mundi! i see a tree here, though it could easily be something else. and, if i look at it as a tree, it reminds me of "yggdrasil" of norse mythology, the great ash tree that connects its nine worlds, and the tree upon which odin hung as a self-sacrifice for knowledge.

anima mundi translates as 'the soul of the world'. but i think i like 'yggdrasil' better, and am kinda jeaolus i couldn't think of that myself.
