Description
This was taken in Kamakura, Japan at Kotoku-in, a temple which houses the famous Amida Buddha, or Daibutsu (literally, Big Buddha). This large statue is actually hollow and you can go inside (too bad we were too late to do that ... but oh well!)
We walked for HOURS and for MILES on the way to reach this temple! And we had so much fun getting lost- it made the reward of finally getting to see the Daibutsu that much better.
