Description I watched the light illuminate this tree for just over an hour, waiting the sun to sink low enough behind the mountain that it would become dark in the background. I began snapping photos into the sun, hardly able to see because of the flare, and finally asked my husband to hold his hand out in front to help diminish the strong effect of the sun flare. I snapped a few photos and looked, and lo and behold, thousands of little bugs flying above the marshes were being illuminated by the backlight. Shot at 2.8, they turned into bokeh.
