Definitely trying whenever I get the chance lol. Glad you like it. For me it is hard to make it contrasty without it being too contrasty

Black Canyon of the Gunnison if I am correct. This works well in b/w. Great shot!

Most definitely correct! And I saw this once done in B&W and thought that I had to do it. Glad you like the outcome!

It was captured in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison in Colorado. Crazy place with amazing photography opportunities.

This is the Black Canyon. Very hard place to shoot as the canyon is a few thousand feet deep and not very wide. The scale and dynamic range makes it a VERY difficult place to shoot.

Boy ain't that the truth. I got some pretty nice shots there with my first digital camera, around 2002 and subsequently managed to delete the whole series quite by blundering accident. That has not set well with me ever since.

That would be rough with how difficult it can be.

thankyou ^^ i allways like to make 'marks' on the map where i'd like to go visit for the holisays and sounds like an awesome place to hike!

Its definitely awesome to visit. Just know for the inner canyon there are no marked trails. One has to find their way down and back out on their own, and watch for poison ivy as there is tons.
