the binding contract of single cells lumbershands sticking out everywhere like a fountain
a great fumble of seemingly unrelated tasks
such as poking, wiggling, swooping, murder
with much boyish squinting I can image
a landscape empty of such creatures
where the sea of hands becomes free
to caress the nearest black monolith
where the single eyes slip open from their slumber
and cells ricochet off one another coyly
dna locked safely inside.
