This is what I call a perfect contrast! There are lots of dead flowers/plants in the background, but still, the sunflower in the front keeps living.
It's like something bad happend, like war, a breakout of a new illness or something similar. But this big guy keeps living, no matter how hard things are. No matter how much sunshine burns through the other flowers an how dry it is right now. No rain in seight... But never loose hope!
You captured a little scene that has so many stories to tell. I am so glad that I was with you when you took this shot, It really catches what many people don't see because they look away. That's what we talked about on that day.
