I find this poem to be kinda poetic. I'm very into the idea of Light vs Darkness, Good vs Evil, and this reminds me of personal struggles that I've had to face.
The way I see it is this; the upper half of the image is where the drop had come from. It hit the water and made a bit of a commotion on the other end, but what backfired was all the worse. The drop, being black, could represent dark feelings or emotions, maybe anger or wrath, and it was directed below the surface of the water. While the intentions of the darkness had been fulfilled, the back-lash had a much worse effect. The moral - If you play with fire, you get burned.
I like this picture. If I had money and a place to put it up on my wall, I'd request a print.
