Quiver cautiously scampered across the square. BAM! He bolted across the square smashing into a long figure. “Hello Child,” The noodle-like wyngro said “Have you come to listen to my stories too?” Quiver froze his body frozen solid. “hm? Well you can just stay there if you want. Now children as I was saying-“ The strange wyngro continued explaining and exaggerating as Quiver’s little heart thumped against his chest. He was curious of course and sat a little away from other wyngrew but still listened, carefully.
More and more wyngrew were disappearing from the crowd, more important things to do than to listen to stories. But Quiver stayed his alert little ears twitching, catching as much information as they could. Quiver heard his mother Vicki calling for him and tumbled away from the crowd and (as he found out) the royal guard, Sever, a pure imperial.I want to be as brave as him he vowed following his foster mother’s voice.
