Here's Hector, from the amazing Pixar movie, Coco.I recently watched this movie, not knowing much about it beforehand, and i was blown away. It's colorful, emotional and downright gorgeous to look at.
Hector is my favorite. He is such a tragic character, but at the same time so determined and unwilling to give up on trying to see his daughter one last time.
I tried to capture his sadness.....think i made myself sad doing so.
Enjoy.
Drawn on paper using 2H, HB, 4B, 6B, 8B pencils, black fine-liner, and white gelly roll. Roughly 5 hours work, cleanup, light effects and color done in Gimp.
Edit-12/6/18- I decided to add a little color in the background in the form of the golden petals. I also colored his eyes as he has super pretty eyes. Let me know what you think.

"Don't worry. You'll see her again. And you'll get to give her that big hug like you wanted."
"I hope so, senorita."
*gives him a big hug again* "You're such a sweetheart. You deserve all the hugs in the world!"
