Description I saw a similar ring on the internet and I liked it...so...I made it...=o) Made with 19 gauge bright aluminum wire. As for ring sizes...um..not sure...I use knitting needles for mandrels..LOL So knitting needle sizes 1 and 4 =o)

Hi there. I've been surfing DA a bit, looking at others' chainmaille works. It's a hobby I really want to get into, but I'm not sure how to get started.

Hiya, I got started from looking at this site: [link] look in the WEAVES section and they have all kinds of tutorials on the different weaves...check out the other sections too..there is a lot u can learn from that site. I usually get my wire from The Ring Lord [link] u can buy rings already cut from there...there are also a lot more places too, just have to look around. If there is anything I can help you with, please let me know! Good luck! =o)

love it - how do you keep it stiff enough to not lose the diamond shape? or are the rings just really tight so they don't move?

What's it around the back? Is it just a wire or what?
