This one is a re-do of an earlier piece---> [link]The original piece has a lot of significance for me. It was the first piece i had done in my long lapse of unproductive procrastination. I was so miserable and unhappy. My artwork was the one thing that kept me going. That was two years ago. I re-did this piece to remind me that i am stronger, wiser, and happier than i was 2 years ago. Call it an "observation of self-improvement."

I like this a lot. It's really pretty - the pink of the eyeshadow, nails and lips really stands out, bringing it all together. :3

Very impressive lineart and great composition. Th letterbox really helps with the movement.
I personally think that the shine of her hair should be a little harder, but the rest of the shading looks pretty good. You really used the stroke shadows well in this one.

Either way, I'd say it's quite good. Pretty face, nice cool tone to the picture, and it melds together very nicely. Good stuff, man.

I think you've improved this one greatly. The primary thing to remember is to keep improving. The smoother transitions of color and sharper resolution are a definite improvement. Sometime brushstrokes or sometimes a more digital look is your friend. It really just depends on the situation... I think you've found a nice compromise with this re-do. Nice Improvement, keep up the hard work.

Your new version is much sharper than the first version. Much more refined and precise. I love that little puff you've added under the eye, it adds worlds to her expression. Very nicely done, and I'm glad you are still around DA to inspire and brighten all of our days

Very pretty and moody. In the sense it has a mood, nt that it has a temper.
Heh, anyhow lovely work. It reminds me of vector and then the softer shading throws that off. A nice combination. Good job.

i like this piece very much. the pose and expression are perfect. with the eyes open, it shows being depressed rather than just being tired, staring off into space while being lost in unhappy thought. the hand position is great too, almost like she just flopped down onto the floor or bed without moving, physically and emotionally drained.
actually, now that i think about it, this sort of pose is quite familiar to me-ive found myself lying just like this, with the same sort of look on my face, lost in thought when the cirsumstances get the best of me.
