The Litter Queen is enjoying her time on the toilet with a good book in claw, but the local cats are not happy about the monopoly of the public litter box. And one poor kitten just couldn't wait...For this piece I was working on limiting color and linework instead of coloring everything in. I like how it turned out, though the litter looks more like a mountain.

I have to say, I really like this. But I’ve taken quite some time before actually telling you why I like this so much, mostly because I always feel a bit shy about these sorts of things. So usually I don’t comment on people’s work.. but.. I adore this little piece so much I had to! I hope you’ll excuse the excessively long comment I’ll be leaving..
The line quality, while at some places dark and thick- others are non existent – while others are very subtle, but detailed- Which gives it such a nice contrast and balance! (such as rich under where she’s sitting and the swirls on her wing). I there’s also an excellent use of color ( It all blends together very smoothly and the purple complements the orange very well) and the fact that I can really feel those brush strokes around her hair and on the litter! (I’ve always liked details like that..)
But.. My favorite part would have to be the character design of the sphinx as well. I’ve always liked quirky characters, and she’s just so wonderful words can’t express that!
Now, I’ve been a big fan of your work for many years (Back from the days on neopets! Haha.. I’ve thankfully detached myself from that soul-sucking site a few years back..) and its really been wonderful finding you on deviantart and watching your art grow into even more unique and inspiring! Sorry for turning this simple comment into a long winded appreciation letter for all the public to see.. but it just kinda ended up turning out to be like this.
Anyway, thanks for all your wonderful work, I enjoy it all.. and I’ll look forward to seeing what you do next!

The limited colour/line technique looks really great, and I like the colours you chose. Your subject matter is always so bold and intruiging, I love it, haha. I really like how much detail is actually in the piece, although at first glance it doesn't seem like there's much.. Like all the local cats and their expressions (I really like the little baby kittens, haha) and the fuzz growing on the side of the litter mountain, which was such a nice touch of grossness, hehe.
I think one of my favourite things about this piece, and a lot of your works is the character design.. I love how twisted and enlongated the Litter Queen's body is. She has rolls, and tufts of "unwanted" hair, skinny little arms, etc, yet she's still pretty, and it's so uncliched.
Great work, and I can't wait to see more
