The CLC-R (Coaxial Liquid Coil Rifle) is one of the most ubiquitous firearms used by gaussian armed forces; basically designed as a generalist weapon that can be effective in all situations but lose out to specialized systems. It is actually two calibers of rifle built on the same structure and power system. The bottom barrel is a low caliber 6mm x 60mm rail accelerator. This accelerates a magnetic metal glass flechette to highly hypersonic speeds as a form of generalist round. The recoil of this firing is devastating; and the projectile travels so fast that it creates a plasma trail in the air; described as similar to a linear bolt of lightning. In atmosphere, the round will completely melt. Because these rounds, and the magazine that holds them are compact it allows the user to have a high overall ammo capacity.

The top barrel fires a 20mm x 100mm micro round. These rounds are magnetically accelerated but at a much lower velocity. They have small reaction thrusters and can course correct for guidance; always hitting so long as they are fired in the general direction of a target. The most common form of rounds are HEAPA (High Explosive Anti Powered Armor) designed to pierce heavy powered armor, war droids, and the carapace of Courdeel combat forms. There are also micro flechette rounds. These are TECHNICALLY designed for clearing out lightly armored swarm drones and totally not an excuse to make unarmored organic targets look like swiss cheese. Also common or CIMP (Concentrated Induced Magnetic Pulse) which are good for targets without electromagnetic shielding.
