Description

The largest arthropods in the Deus System, Terrapedes live in complex systems of tunnels beneath the ground on Zounksos. Their powerful mandibles, along with a special chemical in their saliva that helps erode rock, allow them to tunnel through the soil extremely fast.

Upon maturing from their larval stage, a Terrapede will begin constructing armor by burrowing through several boulders. They are very particular about what stones they choose, though, only making use of ones of similar size and shape. Because of this, they often take years to finish their stony shell.
