Sorry for jumping in on the conversation.
Her wings do come out of her shoulders. But do have extra joints that makes it look like they come out lower. (I still love the picture.)

I love the surprise! I keep coming back and staring at it. And its on my desktop now too. (I keep staring at it there too. )
Makes me want to work on more couple pictures! I wish I was further along on the Yujin/Akane picture.

I'll just jump in here.
The story behind the wings is that the character is actually a sealed monster. She can't transform back to her original form but can use her wings.
I'm happy to hear that you like her design and outfit.

Thanks for your answer, it's really appreciated. I like the idea that it's also a sealed monster. I would like to see happily a same characer, but with Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

You're welcome! I'm happy to hear that you like. You are the first person outside my regular viewers to give me their opinion of her concept.
Actually in her tribe the females are red-eyes black dragons and the males are blue-eyes white dragon, because they are from the north. Her brother is the Blue-Eyes. The southern group of dragons is the opposite. The northern hunting grounds covered Egypt. Which is part of the reason Angela ended up with the Pharaoh's palace.
