This week's painting for school. Oils. One of my better pieces thus far. I FINALLY feel like I'm getting better. After seven weeks of this. I really like how the background tone turned out. And the flowers.

*___* I'm about to come to CA and join Hanshee..she's got the right idea..we must have your TALENT *____* This is absolutely breaktaking, SERIOUSLY DX!!! GAHHHH!!!!! I wish I could of produced something even 1/1millionth THIS GOOD CHRIST!!!! This is soo beautiful, I LOVE the details, the brush strokes, gahh that pose, the nose, ghnn.....the background.. *_* EVERYTHING. I cannot WAIT to see more, I could never get Oils to do anything for me, then again, I'm super horribly impatient..soo..xD

Yeah... i'm really impatient in my art too. But I'm also somewhat of a perfectionist, so I'll spend upwards of 20 hours on a painting and still be unsatisfied with it. XD;; Still, I really do think it's a matter of practice. I'm getting better after 7 weeks of 1 or 2 paintings a week!

Oh man, in Oil painting class we had to complete 5 paintings in the entire semester...oh man...I only completed 4 and that was working my butt off. I just.. HATED it xDD and..I hated my teacher.
That's REALLY freakin' AWESOME though that you are doing soo well and in such a short period of time, I could seriously take a year and work on a painting and NEVER have it look that good *__* It's just breathtaking!!!

Yeah, we're finally slowing down to paintings that are supposed to take us a few weeks to finish instead of one week. ^_^ My teacher is... more or less non-present so it's really up to us to self-motivate. Which is good... but bad. Haha...
I just wish I could see more improvement, faster! I'm so impatient!

That is some beautiful painting right there. I wish I had words to express my feelings, but I find it very inspiring! I keep looking at those jeans. Man- all the folds of the fabrics.

Aw, thanks so much! I was pretty happy with the jeans too. :3 I like painting fabric. It's one thing I find easier to paint than to draw! Still working on getting my faces to look right, but hey, it's a learning process.
