It's my angry boi!Out of all of the characters in "Liberty" Ashley is one of the earliest characters I created. I created him, along with the character Jade, waaaay before I ever had the concept of the comic, or even nuzlockes.

You know, there has to be some credit given to the genius of Ashleyβs gloves. Literally no one thought there was anything up with him wearing gloves because nearly every male Pokemon protagonist wears them. But when he takes the gloves off, so do those of the story itself, showing just how much of a bunch of monsters this incarnation of Team Rocket is.

I had a bit of a "squee" moment at this comment. Because that was kind of my thinking! It would be really interesting (and admittedly evil of me) to take one of the main silly things in Pokemon - the fingerless gloves of all Pokemon trainer protags - and turn it into something dark!

His parents were Top Rangers, and I'm guessing were involved in that big mess in which a lot of people and PokΓ©mon died. Probably related to the PTSD, and why he cares about the Electabuzz.
