More Final Space artwork!

Okay, here's something a little more positive than the last drawing of this show I did.

If you haven't seen "Final Space", I recommend it. Check out the trailer .
It feels like a weird mix between "Red Dwarf" and "Rick and Morty", with a hint of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" thrown in there. It's a rather comedic series, but holy shit does it hit you with some dark themes throughout it, especially the end of the first season. I wasn't really expecting it.

It's about a guy named Gary who has been sentenced to 5 years as a prisoner aboard a space ship with only the ship's AI computer and a bunch of robots to keep him company. That is until he runs across a strange little alien that he calls "Mooncake" who is wanted across the galaxy, and is pursued by "Lord Commander". There's also a couple of cat-like aliens and a woman named Quinn who is part of the police-like force called the "Infinity Guard".

The main thing that attracted me to the series at first was the voice cast. Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants, Ice King) as the ship's AI, known as "HUE" is delightfully dry. And it's also got some guest roles by Ron Perlman, Keith David, John DiMaggio, and Conan O'Brien.

But the most remarkable voice role was David fucking Tennant!!! He voices the villain "Lord Commander", and he does NOT sound like himself at all. I didn't know his voice could pull off a gravely, shrieking villain, but I guess it can! It was kind of fascinating to watch/listen to.

God, it feels almost like I'm writing a "Saturday Morning Cartoons" article, when that site isn't a thing anymore, but I had to gush about this series, if only for a little bit.
