Its because katara and Zuko are so similar, even in book one I saw it. (although at that time she was always so happy and ditzy...)

it's obvious why these two get paired together: it's because they have TONS in common. That's particularly shown in the episode when Katara went to look for her mums killer. What happened to Katara in that episode is the exact same thing that happened to Zuko: She let the anger and hurt poison her and she was almost destroying herself (not sleeping, contemplating murder) because of it. In both cases their usual cheeful nature got overcast with depression and distress. Zuko had his uncle to support him and Katara had Zuko. They both had people that would be by their side no matter what they went through, but still be look after of them at the same time. They didn't feel need to go through it alone even when they felt they were. They have too much in common to not get paired together.

yay!! someone else who thinks Zuko and Katara aren't meant to be. If anything it would be Katara and Jet. I think people only think that Katara and Zuko should be together because of the last two episodes in book two!!!!!! IT WILL NEVER BE ZUKO+KATARA EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Take no offense please, but Zuko was originally supposed to end up with Katara, but the makers felt bad for Aang, so they changed it in the last season. They said that Katara has a 'thing' for bad boys, but they just couldn't leave Aang by himself. Again, not trying to get anyone mad, kataang won in the end, but this was in the original script.

That seems to make sense since Zuko has May and Sokka has Sukki. It would be a pretty bad thing to have Aang all by himself. Plus, Jet wasn't really a MAJOR character like the others. However, I kind of feel bad for Azula who has no one but herself and her power and fear she inflicts on others.

Yes, I would have felt bad for Aang as well, even though I do wish Zuko had ended up with Katara. In a way, I'm happy for it, I can still read fanfiction. Azula's ending makes me want to cry, I blame her dad, I feel like she could have been a very normal, if not very controlling, person if not for him. I wish she had someone to end up with...I actually like to pair Aang with Azula. I know, weird, but I just like it for some reason.
Oh well, I still love the series, no matter if I agreed with the pairings or not!

Yes, if only...that was a pretty cool video. I wonder if they'll show Azula in the new series. They're making 'The Legend of Kora', which is about the next Avatar after Aang. It sounds cool, and it has some of the characters of Avatar's kids!

YAY!!!! I hope so!!! I can't wait for the new series!!! However, If they make another live action movie of the series I will be soooooo furious!!!! The first movie sucked!!! they even got the character's names wrong!!!

Lol, I hope it's out soon, it's bound to be great. The live action movie sucked, the characters weren't even like themselves at all. How can they get the names wrong? This show was made by Americans and the names were pronounced in the show...obviously this was one sucky director. >:C

they should have REALLY payed more attention to detail. The earthbenders were on a ship when they were captured!!! not in an area with ton of earth around them if I might add. Plus, out of all the character's they get Sokka's first girlfriend's name wrong!!!(I know who it is but don't know how to spell it. What REALLY ticked me off was that they messed Uncle Iroh and they showed the firelord's face!!! that should not have happened until the third book!!!!
