At first glance, Cori seems like an outgoing, charismatic individual with a knack for dealing with others. Usually, they are the mediator in most of their friend groups. In fact, Cori is often the glue that holds a group together because they are usually the one responsible for keeping harmony and peace amongst his quarreling companions. They make friends with people from all walks of life, and are always the first to try something new. However, they are more often than not an underachiever due to their laid-back personality. Unlikely to reveal their true feelings (in an attempt to keep everyone in their company content and unchallenged), Cori is often soft-spoken and seemingly indecisive. They might also have a vain streak, and can be very self-absorbed at times. Their charisma might also be used as a means to get what they want, making them rather devious.TRAITS:

They're a stickler for 'fair play', and are bent on believing that everyone is right--in their own ways. They're also very charming, possessing a pleasant manner and always making a point to choose pleasant subjects to converse about. Others feel happy in their company, and that's exactly what they want. They take pride in being approachable and well-liked. When they are in a position of authority, Cori takes charge of situations in a gentle, but still firm manner. They're very fair and just. The proverbial heart and feather are weighed in their every decision--which is precisely why it takes him so long to make one!

- Being more or less the personification of charm, Cori is quite approachable. They usually make friends, not enemies. Honestly, being well-liked is very important to them. They're always the one smoothing ruffled feathers and making the newcomers feel welcome. They're also impressive in the art of flirting; and they'll use this charm on just about anyone (you'll never know if Cori is genuinely interested in you, or just being nice to get the desired effect out of you.) This, however, is one of their biggest insecurities: Cori takes it very hard when another dislikes them--especially after they have went to so many lengths to get in their good graces. Sometimes, Cori will recoil and become quite bratty if they should find themselves with an enemy. Like a spoiled child, Cori does not take rejection all that well.

- They're not one for violence, and tend to avoid confrontation at all cost. A happy, peaceful solution is ideal and the ultimate goal. Heated arguments, and physical scuffles especially, make Cori anxious and they're one to shrink from such disputes. Also, despite being outgoing and relatively energetic, they can often be seen as lazy. They are always taking it easy--even in a stressful or potentially dangerous situations. This is because they wish to avoid stress at all cost. They never go to extremes, and will always choose the middle-ground in order to please those around them. However, this gives off the impression that they do not take things seriously. Cori is very calm and practical, though; they'll approach an issue with a placid demeanor and rarely let their emotions take hold. Another thing to be noted about Cori is that they need freedom. They'll become very unhappy when confined to a strict schedule, and they work best in an environment that leaves room for flexibility. They hate to be rushed, and usually put things off until the last minute. At any rate, you can bet that they'll take their sweet time with their tasks.

- A firm believer in charm, grace, and beauty, Cori is often viewed as attractive and favorable by others. You can see their grace from the way they talk to the way they walk. Their voice is smooth like honey, and their body language is graceful and fluent. They truly are a sight to behold (in their humble opinion at least). Despite their humble and not-very-flashy occupation, Cori does take pride in their personal appearance and the state of their establishment. They are very clean and orderly, almost compulsively so.

- Cori is very spirited and passionate about things they enjoy, and while they are typically well-liked, they can sometimes be overbearing. They have a high energy-level, and are constantly running off at the mouth. Everything and every situation comes with its own set of new ideas. This is because Cori lives in a world of possibilities, and these are often accompanied by high hopes. If they are very passionate about something, they may become manipulative to get what they want. They're very self-indulging in this regard. If they see something they like, they simply must have it! Being blessed with the gift of gab, Cori is usually able to get what they want with their communication skills. As such, they are likely to abuse the love others have for them. They've been known to guilt-trip and use their friendly personality to their advantage. They have learned through the years that if they go out of their way to be nice to someone, typically, they end up feeling like this kindness must be returned. But this trait is not all bad, as Cori is more demanding in a 'self-improvement' sort of way. - They're a clever one, and they like to use what you have given them against you. Cori is not very straightforward in their activities, however. They prefer behind-the-scenes dealings, and getting on their opponent's good side in order to achieve their own personal agenda. They make sure to linger in everyone's good graces, as allies are more useful than enemies. The more friends one has, the more opportunities. Cori gains allies by performing favors, helping others out, and being friendly in general. These social endeavors take time, and they're sure to build a firm foundation of support if they should ever need it (or at least they hope so!). In some ways, Cori's kindness is poisonous. It is not given freely, as they'll always find use for these acquaintances. They might seem like parasitic friend, but usually these relationships are symbiotic in nature. They'll scratch your back, if you scratch theirs.

- Cori can be regrettably selfish. When it comes to pampering himself, they can forget the rest of the world. Sometimes they get so caught up in themselves, that they can become quite thoughtless and inconsiderate. they're also quite the narcissist. Very appearance-oriented, they tend to care only for beauty and take others at face-value. Being surrounded by beauty helps Cori feel calm. Ever-concerned with their appearance, they'll spend the majority of their time grooming and preening excessively--always making sure to look their absolute best. It's actually a neurological compulsion... If someone bumps into them, and puts a single strand out of place, they'll spend a good deal of time setting the error straight.
- [Vacillating] [Wavering between different opinions or actions; irresolute.]
- The most challenging thing for Cori to do is make a decision--and stick with it! Never, ever, EVER, press Cori to make a decision quickly. They are very concerned with details, and take a lot of time to study situations. They carefully weigh out all the options--and their possible consequences--and this takes time. This indecisive nature comes from their ambition to make the right decision, as they would be devastated if the outcome was not ideal. Likewise, they can be quite unreliable. Easily influences by others, Cori is prone to changing their mind.

- Cori is a little self-absorbed, and is in their own world 90% of the time. While they do want to make everyone happy, and be fair, they can still be fussy at times. This trait becomes apparent when they are under stress. For example, if you are rushing them, they may point out how uncouth you are. If you don't take much pride in your appearance, they may give you some 'helpful' tips on the matter. If they find something wrong with you in general, they might just point it out to try and improve you. But it's usually in a discreet, elegant manner, and most fail to notice their critiques. Their main means of conveying discontent is through passive aggression and heavy sarcasm.
As a young colt born into Serora, Cori was showered with endless love and affection from two lovey parents. Their family was very close, if not a little small, and although they longed to have more children, the parents were faced with the unfortunate news that they would not be able to conceive again. Health complications had arose during Cori's birth. Nevertheless, the pair was quick to recover and look forward to a future with their only son.
His father was a pleasant and successful craftsman. He was born and bred into the task, and his work always yielded an impressive result. His mother was had rather different beginnings. She was born into Briem, a different herd, though she had no interest in politics. When she came of age, she became an ambassador and took up residence in the Serora. However, she loved nature and being free from all the struggles and stress that came with the responsibility of her task, and often retreated to the open spaces to catch a break. There she met Cori father, and fell in love. Eventually she earned a name for herself and was granted permission to marry into the herd. After a time, she retired from her duties (though remained on hand should need of her ever arise).
Growing up as her son, Cori was taught to be prim and proper and very respectful. Many would say that he was expected to become an ambassador like she had been. Cori was very interested by such a prospect. He always wished to improve on himself as well as the world around him, so this task was ideal. He would be the bridge between his herd and another. As such, falling into these high expectations was only natural, and he began developing his communication and mediating skills.
As the years progressed, Cori grew into a fit and capable young stallion. His mother was already preening him, tutoring him in all the knowledge she had before he would be sent to train under a true ambassador. However, it was not to be. His father was severely injured himself during a foraging venture. He was hurt badly, doomed to walk with a limp for the rest of his days. This made his occupation rather difficult, as a crafter who was unable to cross long distances would soon run out of supplies to make his treasures. The stallion found himself no longer able to help provide for his family. As a result, Cori stepped up to help. When he came of age, he would go out on foraging missions instead of attending lessons to pursue his dream. He took on the task of a craftsman instead.
While part of him still feels unfulfilled, Cori is relatively happy with his work. It suits him well enough. His father is now happily retired along with his mother, and Cori has sense taken over his father's shop entirely. He spends his days foraging and crafting, then selling. He enjoys the selling part, as he gets to use the communication skills he picked up from his previous dream. Bartering his items is always good fun for Cori, and he is at least content with his life.
